While the other family members distracted the shark her Li's Uncle went out in the water to save her.He through her in the water and told her to swim very fast back to shore.Her Uncle staid on the rock. The rest of the family got the shark trapped and the shark finilly died.

WHY:As it said in the begining of the book, a child clung to a rock out in the ocean.She let the broken waves of the bay wash over her,cooling the fierce sun light. Even though she was out in the sea she was not afraid, the sea was her home.

She didn't want to be around anyone.Li's mother was having a dreem and told some girl to watch out.She watched the stars fade and vanish,and beforethe rest of the tribe began ti stir, climbed down and made her way out to the rock split that half enclosed the bay. That was the rock that she was stranded on before.from here she could see the central volcano of the island. to be continued

The next morning Li got up early and hunted for food.She was very lucky!Under a large flat rock in the bay she found a huge crab.All the women ate it before the adult males got up and took it for themselves.Then she went out again to the spit,to wait for the dolphin.she was sure that it would come ,and before she new it was in the water waiting for.They paly and dance together often.The dolphintought her games as if she was one of them.
I predict that she will become a better friend with the group of dolphins.

Li is a young girl that is very intelligent also has many more very special qualities, she is fun, exciting, and she was very kind hearted.She was very curious as to whats around her.Li is very adventrous because she would always go out in the forest to get alone time.Along with all of her other qualities She was extremely brave.For Example she was stuck out in the ocean on a rock by her self with huge waves crashing on her, she stayed strong.While she was stuck on the rock there was a shark swimming around her. Li's main goal is to bring peace between her parents
